Elegant Self Confidence
How To Be Elegant
Secrets of Elegant Self Confidence, Poise and Gracefulness
Let me start by sharing this wonderful quote by Genevieve Antoine Dariaux,
"To be elegant is first of all to know oneself, and to know oneself well requires a certain amount of reflection and intelligence."

There are two stages of becoming elegant, starting first from the workings of inner elegance, because true elegance starts from within.
Everyone knows somebody elegant.
She could be a celebrity. That girl who seems to have it all together. The one with all the designer clothes and bags. The soft spoken girl who speaks eloquently.
I've been trying to define the elegant woman for as long as I can remember. Dictionary.com defines an elegant woman is one who is pleasingly graceful and stylish in appearance and manner.
Kindness Rules & Be Yourself
An elegant woman is a gracious woman.
She is gracious till the end. She will never shove others out of her way in a crowded train. It doesn't matter if she looks elegant, speaks the part but fails terribly in her everyday life. The truth eventually finds its way out.
The way to be gracious?
Love others, value and esteem others. Treat everyone the same, regardless of social status, looks, speech, education. Do not save your best manners for certain people only. Genuinely care and put others first. Instead of telling people about yourself, listen to others and let them talk about themselves.

PRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHS

  •   To help you to feel more relaxed on the day, a trial run before your wedding is often well worth the additional effort.

  • The photographer might suggest doing some shots of you and your fiance in his studio or in your home, in order to access your best angles.

  • It's also wise to arrange a private portrait session with your photographer, perhaps before the reception, when you still feel and look calm and cool.

  • The bride could even consider having a posed formal portrait taken before the day of the wedding.

Before You Shop For Your Wedding Dress

Tips on Finding the Perfect Wedding Dress for You

·         When to Start Shopping for Your Wedding Dress Give yourself ample time to plan- generally the rule of thumb is that you need to order your gown at least six months before your wedding. So you should ideally start shopping for your gown nine months or more before your wedding.

·         Plan Ahead Take a few minutes to think about what you want. It will be helpful when you enter the maze of wedding dresses out there to know what your budget is, any details that are essential and an idea of how traditional you want your dress to be. After all, if really a teal pantsuit would work best for you, it's probably not worth your time to sort through racks of white gowns.

·         Be Comfortable! On your wedding day, you'll want to look great, but you'll also want to be comfortable- it will be hard to dance and laugh if you're tugging your dress up or have boning jutting into your ribs.

Bridesmaid Dresses

  • The colour and design of your bridesmaids' outfits will depend on the theme and colour scheme of the wedding.

  • Bridesmaid dresses should be simple and understated.

  • Choose something that you will wear again afterwards

Matric Expo 2012

Vereeniging hosted the Matric Expo 2012 at the Vereeniging Civic Centre recently.  Designers from all over Gauteng showcased their matric farewell dresses on stage and Weddings by Theresa, a designer from Vereeniging, was there as well! It seems that the latest trend called for either a mermaid bodice with layers of material enveloping the models or the classic ballroom gown.

I have added 3 of my gorgeous dresses and the models exhibiting them.  Weddings by Theresa caters for real women - like you.
